Angélique Buisson’s modern barn
I designed the house as a barn – really! I wanted the simplicity and appearance of a two-sided barn so daylight would flood the whole structure from south to north where the house dominates the lake view. Now, years later it still has this basic simplicity that gives the house its air of tranquility and harmony where the children have grown up contentedly.
“It’s a contemporary vision of mountain living… rejecting the classic traditions of mountain chalets. Designer of furniture and textiles, Angélique Buisson has created a truly modern house, far from the clichés of most mountain chalets, a daring concept that has been a great success” – Elle Décoration April 2006
